Ritchie's Brief -
“We want peace of mind - a comprehensive review of our effluent system enabling the design of a system which will be robust, reliable, efficient, easy to use and compliant, 365 days of the year.”
Our Solution -
The Hi-Tech team did a comprehensive review of the farm designing a system which would be effective and compliant. The result was a fully accredited dairy effluent system. We project managed and worked with contractors during the construction of the new system facilitating a smooth, hassle-free installation for Ritchie.
The new effluent system included a stirrer which will do the job and protect the clay liner. We worked with electricians to install a state of the art variable speed drive that connects to flow meters with text-able functions for future monitoring. A suitably sized pump was installed powerful enough to keep up with the effluent volume produced.
Around 27ha was irrigated to meet Waikato Regional Council Nitrogen application rules and we provided a Cobra Travelling Raingun that applies effluent to land at a rate which is better than the farm’s soil infiltration rates (resulting in no ponding or runoff). Ritchie said they’re delighted with the new system. "Hi-Tech delivered on everything quoted, and the Cobra Irrigator is awesome.”
